Following the Lord isn’t always a clear cut or easy thing to do, that’s why I suppose they say you have to have faith!  The words of my beloved Pastor and friend continue to ring in my ears, that familiar and loved passage in Jeremiah 29 which reads:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “ plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.  I will be found by you, “ declares the Lord, “ and will bring you back from captivity.”

My journey to following Him and His calling on my life continues.  I was in one of those “sweet spots” just a few days ago…not perfect or ideal even, but in a place where I knew I was doing what He asked of me, and I was enjoying that so much.  I’m in that wondering place again…wondering what is next, what assignment I am on, what will take up my time and my energy.

I’ve followed my husband to a remote city in Kansas with our two children (5 and 3), we are starting this leg of our journey in a hotel room, while we look for a rental property to get us through until our house in Minnesota sells.  I joked with my friends back home that I’d start a blog and call it “crockpot hotel”  since I loaded up our crockpot to try and eat some healthier meals while we are living in the hotel.  Here’s the catalog of our journey.   My purpose of writing is to connect with friends (both old and new), share our adventure, and point anyone willing to read to the One that I cannot live a moment without, my Heavenly Father.
